Rates

Our pricing policy is very simple- it is broken down into 2 different rates:

Standard Rate- 25 euro's/hr. or € 200 per day

Commercial- 40 euro's/hr. or € 320 euro's per day

What Do I Need To Bring On The Day?

Put simply the most important thing you need to bring is well prepared material- you and your fellow musician's must know your material. As for equipment guitarists & bassist's must always bring the following:

Amplifiers, Picks, Leads, Effects Pedals which they use and a spare pack of Strings.

Drummers should generally bring the following:

Snare drum, Kick drum pedal, Cymbals and drum sticks

Singers should always bring the microphone they use for practice and for singing live, as Mike Hutchence(INXS) once said ' you record through this $3000 mic and then spend 2 weeks eq'ing it to sound like a Shure SM58'. Also all lyrics should be in clearly legible print form. The studio has a keyboard but most keyboard players/pianists would probably prefer to use their own........ And bring your own cigarettes!!

How Many Hours Are In A Day?

A day is defined as 8 hours with 7 hours working time and 1 hour for breaks broken into two 30 minute breaks.

At What Time Does A Days Recording Start?

Normal starting time is 9 am and finishing time is strictly 5 pm. If you are traveling a long distance to get to the studio or have other circumstances which require more flexible start and finish times then please contact us and we would be happy to facilitate these needs

Are Canteen Facilities Available?

Yes, because Creature Studios is a home based recording studio our clients have access to the normal kitchen facilities you would expect in a modern home. The studio itself has a small fridge for storing soft drinks or snacks and there is an endless supply of tea and coffee. Alternatively you can order chinese takeaway which can be delivered to the studio and you are more than welcome to bring a packed lunch.

What Preparations Should We Have Made Before The First Day Of Recording?

It is extremely important that both Bassist and Guitarists put fresh strings on their instruments. Although it may be unnoticeable during rehearsals and live gigs worn strings are a dead giveaway on tape- dodgy leads should be binned as well. The drummer should also fit his snare drum with new heads especially if the currently fitted one is old. Bass pedals should be oiled to prevent any squeaking from moving parts during recording.
